Understanding the duties of a Driver in the INGO sector
Training description
The success of any organization partly depends on the level of support provided by the functional units to its operations. Therefore, the skills of persons performing duties in this area are required to be high and tactical. But, first off, persons interested in working in any of the functional units of an NGO need to know the basics of that unit.
This training will provide an exposure and knowledge of the role of Drivers in an INGO. This will guide trainees in understanding what is expected of Driver and how they related with others to achieve project success.
The main training objectives
At the end of the training, the following objectives are planned to be achieved:

· The participants will have a strong understanding of the routine documentation requirements for the position

· The participants will be able to understand the interpersonal skills required for the position

· The participants will have an all-round knowledge of logistics activities as it affects the position

The facilitator has supervised the Driver’s unit as a Management staff in the INGO sector for a minimum of 7years and has worked with at least two INGOs with hands on experience in Logistics, Procurement and Administration.
