Understanding the Growing Impact of HR functions in NGO and Development Agencies
HR is undeniably an integral strategic function in today’s NGO operations where the task of maintaining organisation’s effectiveness demands a thorough and up to date knowledge and competence in attracting, retaining, developing and releasing latent potentials of human resource in the management of donor funds and the running of its operations for organisation’s performance and survival. This workshop is designed to give participants a broad-based scope and insight into the HR function in NGO operations and to enable them appreciate the “HR big picture”, identify future trends in the Development World and be equipped to function effectively in supporting organisation goals. People new to HR in NGO, Operations Directors & Chief of Parties of projects operating in Nigeria and personnel whose roles might not be core HR but need good understanding of people issues to effectively deliver on their job roles will benefit tremendously from this course

Core HR functional responsibilities in supporting and driving success in NGOs (Modern trend in recruitment, Employee Relations, Time sheet Management, Policy Development, Diversity issues in workplace, Payroll, Leave administration etc.
Module 2: —
Key issues in the employment process in the development business (Employment Law in Nigeria, Employment of Expatriate)
Module 3: —
Effective performance and reward management system.
Understanding employee relations, grievance handling and disciplinary procedures
